We are committed to making this process as enjoyable and simple as possible without limiting any conceptual ideas or thoughts you might have about building your dream home.
The first step of the process would be to schedule a meeting to sit down with the builder, where we can take a look at your lot and plans (or ideas for a plan). If you do not have plans, we can design something from the ground up or take one of our plans and make changes to customize it to fit your needs. If you do not have a lot, we can help narrow down the search for that as well.
Next, we come up with a game plan to get the ball rolling and can also give you some guidance on the financing if needed. Once we have plans and have come to an agreement on the construction of your new home, we will get you together with one of our design experts to help in the selection process.
From the moment you sit down with the builder and all throughout the construction process and beyond, we will be in contact with you, keeping you informed on the process and the progress.
We look forward to meeting you and hearing your ideas!
No. If you don’t have land yet, we’ll help you narrow the search, evaluate sites, and choose a lot that fits your budget and design goals.
Costs vary by size, finishes, site work, and location. Most Wyndham Custom Homes projects start around $200 per square foot, but unique designs or extensive site prep can raise the price. We’ll give you a detailed estimate after a free lot and plan review.
Once permits are in hand, most builds take eight to twelve months. Complex designs, weather delays, or supply issues can add time. We’ll give you a timeline before construction starts and keep you updated each week.
Most owners use a construction-to-permanent loan that converts to a standard mortgage after the home is finished. We can connect you with local lenders who offer this option and explain down-payment and draw schedules.
Plan for clearing trees, grading, bringing in utilities, and installing a driveway, well, or septic system if needed. These items can run from $10,000 to $50,000 or more, depending on the lot. We’ll give you a line-by-line estimate after a free site visit.
